We’ll admit it: When the view is already this amazing, some of the work is already done for us. We simply work to maximize the views and natural light so homeowners can soak up every bit of their property’s advantages. Panoramic sliding doors give the owners access to the natural beauty of their lot both inside and out of the home. Indirect lighting allows the natural light to really shine, without fighting for attention the way a more dramatic fixture might. No matter what the style, the kitchen is the heartbeat of any home. We spend time perfecting everything from the layout to the view to create a space that feels natural and livable. Each owner comes to us with a wish list of items that we incorporate to make their house really feel like home. When a family asks for a space for casual entertaining, double ovens, a bar seating area, and close proximity to the great room gives them exactly what they wanted–sometimes even before they know they wanted it. We pride ourselves on maximizing every square foot of each home, which means designing every space intentionally. You probably wouldn’t guess that this is a basement: No room is a design afterthought. Finding the correct height and scale is key for each space we design. Utilizing natural light and positioning the home properly makes all the difference in creating livable, comfortable areas. The most beautiful artwork in our homes was designed long before we started drawing. At CDG, we believe in simply framing the work the land gives to us. It’s more than just a sitting area: It’s a place for gathering and strengthening the relationships between the people that call this house a home. We plan for family moments and spaces for quiet throughout each design.
